Elizabeth Kleiman

Associate Professor of Computer Science

Associate Professor of Computer Science Dr. Elizabeth Kleiman joined the Mount Mercy community in the fall of 2010. Prior to coming to Mount Mercy, Kleiman taught courses at Iowa State University as a graduate level teaching assistant and as a teacher for Iowa State's Upward Bound program. Dr. Kleiman holds a BS in mathematics and computer science from Ben-Gurion University of Negev, located in Beer-Sheva, Israel. She earned her masters degree in mathematics, and her PhD in mathematics and computer science at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Dr. Kleiman works with undergraduate students on research projects in the areas of cryptography, web programming and parallel programming. She is involved with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and is a co-founder of ExploreU.summer program for middle school girls.

Robert Todd

Associate Professor of Mathematics

Associate Professor Robert Todd, a native Iowan, came to Mount Mercy in Fall 2015. He has active research programs in both low dimensional topology (knot theory) and mathematical biology. He works with many students in a wide variety of research areas within math and applied mathematics. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, and playing guitar.
